We might not get the names of the individuals especially as this photo was taken over 88 years ago. The location might well be the Botanical Gardens but this is a guess. Of interest is the sailor type outfits being worn by few of the boys. Was that a 'formal attire or were they in a school play? Would they have had home-made ice cream spun in a barrel or would have ice been out of the question in those days. Perhaps they would have been forbidden to eat anything in those light colored clothes. You know how mothers are!

As far as I can tell, it is basically the "before" picture for the JCWilson photos after the 1902 eruption although 75 years earlier. (It's hard to believe there was more than one sugar mill at Wallibou).
