29 March 2001: Ralph Gonsalves has been sworn in as Prime Minister this morning at 10am. He has announced Mrs  Judith Jones Morgan as Attorney General, a post he insists should be non-political. He will announce the Cabinet on Friday.

Louis Straker will be Deputy Prime Minister in this government.
He has asked the Service Commission to meet today at 2pm to consider his recommendation for Cabinet Secretary- then he will announce the  name. He pledged no political victimization in his government, but he will find the best person for each job. He also promised an open government, with information freely available.

There will be a victory  celebration at the Arnos Vale Playing Field at 5pm today.
